How I built Power BI reporting frameworks across multiple Microsoft roles that replaced manual reporting cycles, gave leadership real-time visibility into campaign performance and pipeline contribution, and became the operational backbone for data-driven decision making at Microsoft scale.

Decisions Were Being Made Without Real Data

Across each of my roles at Microsoft, I encountered the same fundamental problem: reporting infrastructure had not kept pace with program complexity. Teams were pulling data manually, building static spreadsheets, and delivering insights to leadership days or weeks after the fact. By the time a report landed, the decisions it was meant to inform had often already been made on instinct.

At the Global Demand Center, this meant leadership lacked real-time visibility into which field requests were trending, where SLA risk was building, and how campaign investments were tracking against ROI targets. On the sales development team, it meant sellers had no daily line of sight into their own pipeline health or attainment trajectory until it was too late to course-correct.

Three Reporting Systems Across Three Roles

Rather than building one-off reports, I approached each situation as an opportunity to create a reporting infrastructure that teams could own independently. Each system was designed around the decisions it needed to enable, not just the data it needed to display.

System 1

Sales Development Coaching Dashboard

Built during the Assisted Sales Manager role, this Power BI dashboard gave each of five sellers a real-time view of their pipeline health, opportunity stage distribution, LTV contribution, and attainment trajectory against quarterly targets. Daily pipeline audits were run directly from the dashboard, replacing manual Excel reviews. The result was a coaching model grounded in current data rather than memory — and the team hit 451% of Cloud LTV goal in FY21Q4.

System 2

Azure Marketing Campaign Performance Framework

Built during the Azure Marketing Program Manager role to streamline reporting on campaign performance and ROI across a portfolio of cloud marketing initiatives. Replaced a manual reporting cycle that required hours of data aggregation per week with a live framework that surfaced partner engagement trends, campaign contribution, and time-to-market signals in real time. Enabled faster pivots on underperforming campaigns and clearer communication to senior stakeholders on pipeline impact.

GDC Concierge Program Health Dashboard

The most comprehensive of the three, this framework was built to give Microsoft's Global Demand Center leadership real-time visibility into field request volume, SLA adherence, team throughput, CSAT trends, and campaign ROI across 5,000+ annual requests. Executive-ready reporting modules were built on top of the same data model, enabling leadership communications that were both current and narrative-driven. Manual reporting cycles were eliminated entirely.

Across all three systems, the impact was consistent: faster decisions, more confident leadership communications, and teams that understood their own performance in real time rather than retrospectively.

Senior stakeholders at Microsoft's Global Demand Center gained live access to program health, field trends, and campaign ROI — replacing weekly static reports with a dashboard they could consult at any time.

The sales coaching dashboard gave sellers daily visibility into their own numbers, enabling the precision pipeline management that drove the highest attainment in the Southwest program in FY21Q4.

Executive-ready communications built on live data

Reporting infrastructure became the foundation for leadership communications that were both accurate and timely — translating program data into narrative insights that drove data-driven decisions across marketing, engineering, and operations.

Proactive issue identification

Real-time dashboards surfaced SLA risk, pipeline gaps, and field trends early enough to address them before they compounded — shifting the team from reactive problem-solving to proactive program management.
